DataPlus LabsTell us what you're hiring for DataPlus Labs is a small senior-led delivery team for companies that already know what needs building. We scope it, build it, test it, and hand over production-ready code.
The expensive part isn't code
A scoped engineering task often gets treated like a hiring problem. That creates cost before a line of code ships.
Timelines are illustrative, not a guarantee. The point is the model: pay for a defined outcome, not unused capacity.
What we actually build
FastAPI services, authenticated endpoints, database-backed workflows, background jobs, validation, retries, logging, and tests.

AI agents, automation, background workers, and microservices behind a full SaaS platform — CI/CD from day one, maintained through a long-term project.
How a project moves
You show us the problem, existing system, constraints, and desired output.
We turn the brief into deliverables, assumptions, risks, and a fixed working plan.
Implementation, integration, tests, error handling, and the boring production details.
Code, configuration, documentation, deployment notes, and a clear explanation of what shipped.
Why the economics work
The people scoping the work are close to the work. There is no large delivery chain between the brief and the implementation.
You are not carrying the cost of idle capacity, recruiting infrastructure, or a long onboarding curve for one defined project.
We price and plan around a scoped result. If the scope changes, the plan changes. There is no pretending an open-ended project is fixed.
Who we are
DataPlus Labs was built on a simple observation: most companies don't need a full-time hire for a scoped engineering task. They need someone who can own the problem from brief to production.
We're a small team of senior engineers who've shipped Python services, API integrations, automation pipelines, and Shopify systems for startups and mid-size companies. No account managers. No handoff layers. The people who scope the work are the same people who build it.
Every project gets dedicated engineers, a fixed scope, and a hard deadline. If that sounds refreshingly direct — that's the point.
Technical credibility
Common questions
We scope the project first, then provide a fixed price for the defined deliverables. No hourly billing, no surprise invoices. If the scope changes, we re-quote before continuing.
You do. Everything we deliver is your intellectual property. We provide full source code, configuration, documentation, and deployment notes. No lock-in, no licensing, no dependency on us.
We handle scope changes by re-scoping. You'll get a revised estimate and timeline before any additional work begins. There is no pretending an open-ended project is fixed.
The handoff includes everything you need to maintain the system independently. If you want ongoing support or future iterations, we can scope those as separate projects.
We work with production credentials securely, use environment-based secrets, and never commit sensitive data. We can follow your existing security protocols and access controls.
We're built for scoped projects, not retainers. But repeat work is common — many clients come back with a new brief after the first delivery. Each project gets its own scope and estimate.
Start with the actual problem
Send the rough brief. A paragraph is enough. Include the system involved, what is currently manual or blocked, and what “done” should look like.
